MUMBAI: UTV World Movies will telecast the 27th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards live and exclusive on 26 February at 10.30 am.

The awards are given away for the artistic achievements in independent filmmaking. UTV World Movies has associated with the Film Independent Spirit Awards for third consecutive year.

For the Awards, over 44 films were nominated across 17 categories. Some of the films nominated this year include 50/50, Beginners, Drive, Take Shelter, The Artist and The Descendants. The event will see actor?comedian Seth Rogen serve as host.
