Eros lines up release of two films

MUMBAI: Eros International has lined up two films that it will release in the month of May and June.

Bol, made in association with Goo Films and Shoman Productions, will release on 20 May. Red Chllies Entertainment‘s Always Kabhi Kabhi will hit the screens on 17 June.

Avers Eros International Media managing director Sunil Lulla, “ With Always Kabbhi Kabhi, Eros continues its fabulous association with Shah Rukh Khan at Red Chillies Entertainments. Roshan is a very talented personality and his debut film promises to be high on the freshness quotient and the youth, especially teenagers will definitely identify with it. It is a very today’s film and we are looking forward to leveraging Eros’ global distribution in promoting it.”

Always Kabhi Kabhi, produced by Shah Rukh Khan, marks the directorial debut of actor-presenter, radio jockey and theatre personality Roshan Abbas.The film is a fun coming-of-age film and has been inspired by the director’s play Graffiti.

Others in the cast include Satish Shah, Lilette Dubey, Navneet Nishan, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Joshi, Muke Tiwari and Aakash Khurana.

Bol is Pakistani director Mansoor‘s second film on the Indian film horizon after his critically-acclaimed award winning Khuda Kay Liye.

Bol, based in Lahore, highlights the sorry plight of women who are treated as a worthless burden to a family in most parts of the society. It narrates the story of a girl, a daughter who stands up and challenges the age-old societal norms of treating women as lesser beings.

The film stars renowned Pakistani actress Humaima Malick in the lead along with singing sensation Atif Aslam as well as Iman Ali, Mahira Khan, Manzar Sehbai and Shafaqat Cheema.
