MUMBAI: Fame India launched its seventh multiplex in Kolkata on 22 April. Named Hind Fame, the new multiplex has two screens and a seating capacity of 701.

The other six multiplexes that Fame has in Kolkata are: South City Mall ( 6-screen, 1400 seats), Lake Mall (4-screen, 100 seats), Aster Mall (4-screen 1050 seats), Bus Terminal Mall (5-screen, 1400 seats) and Fame Howrah ( 4-screen, 1365 seats).

The new multiplex in the heart of the city at Metropolis mall, a shopping complex, has been constructed by CMG Ltd.

Fame India currently operates 88 screens and 24,626 seats across 13 cities in India with presence in states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Karnataka.

With this, the total number of operational properties of Fame India stands at 26, with 97 screens and a seating capacity of 27,191.
