Shah Rukh Khan to perform at IIFA awards

MUMBAI: This year’s IIFA awards, scheduled to be held between 23 and 25 June, will see the presence of Shah Rukh Khan.

The star is also expected to put in a performance that will enthrall the Bollywood-hungry audience.

Said Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft International Entertainment, organiser of the IIFA: “ Shah Rukh Khan will be our finale performer for this year. He is returning to perform for us after seven years and we are very excited."

The actor earlier attended two editions of the IIFA Weekend, the first in Singapore in 2004 and later at Amsterdam in 2005. Khan has also been nominated in the best actor category for his performance in Karan Johar‘s My Name Is Khan.

"He is a phenomenal performer and a huge star. He hasn‘t been to Canada in a long time... so the kind of expectations that fans and people have of him is quite something," Joseph added.

Others who would perform at the award include Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and the Deols, veteran Dharmendra and his sons Sunny and Bobby.

Salman Khan is also expected to be present at the three-day IIFA Weekend, as his debut co-production, Chillar Party, is set to kick off the film festival.
