T-Series to release music of Dharma Productions' Short Term Shaadi

MUMBAI: For the first time ever, Dharma Productions has tied up with T-Series.

The Karan Johar banner has joined hands with the Bhushan Kumar-led music company to release the music of its forthcoming film, Short Term Shaadi.

Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shakun Batra, Short Term Shaadi is an out and out romantic comedy that has Imran Khan playing a highly conservative, fussy architect, with a rigid attitude. He falls in love with Kareena Kapoor, a hairstylist that changes him completely. The film takes place in a compressed time frame of a little more than a week and deals with how the character changes within that short span of time.

T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar said, "I have always loved the films made by Karan Johar, not only for their content and aesthetic appeal, but also for their beautiful music, which has always been their major strength. We are delighted to have acquired the music rights of Short Term Shaadi. And we hope that this is just the beginning of a long creative association."

Prior to this, the music of Dharma Productions‘ films was released by Sony Music India.

Short Term Shaadi stars Imran Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Boman Irani and Ram Kapoor among others.
