Vaishali Dalmiya turns producer with Bhorer Alo

MUMBAI: Vaishali, daughter of well-known Indian cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya, has turned producer with her debut Bengali film  Bhorer Alo that tells the tale of three generations of Bengalis.

For the project, Dalmiya has signed Prabhat Roy to direct the venture. "I am fortunate to have a gifted director like Prabhat Roy whose script on three generations of Bengalis got me hooked the moment I heard the script. But this can only be the beginning, I am open to any good scripts," she said.

According to the producer, Bhorer Alo will have all the elements of a clean family entertainer with dollops of romance, morality, suspense and mystery. Thr film revolves around two sisters and the twist lies in both the sisters falling in love with the same man, not knowing that he is wooing one of them.

The film stars Priyanshu Chaterjee, Ritiparna Sengupta, Rohit Roy and Anusmriti Sarkar among others.
