MUMBAI: Vikram Bhatt has vhosen not to direct the sequel of hit horror movie, Bhoot.
Bhatt made the decision after he found out that Ram Gopal Varma, the director of part one, wanted to direct Bhoot 2 as well.
"Ramu is a senior director and I do not want to upset him in any way,” Bhatt remarked. “For now, I have my hands full with Dangerous Ishq and we are even toying with the idea of Haunted 2,” Bhatt commented.
Bhatt added, “I was told that Ramu had enough on his plate and would be unavailable to direct the sequel. I was never the first choice for Bhoot 2; he was. Now, since I know that he is keen to direct the sequel, I wish him well. I am opting out of Bhoot 2. It rightfully belongs to him and not me.”
Bhatt is current project, Dangerous Ishq, marks the comeback of Karisma Kapoor after a long hiatus. He will also take up Raaz 3 post the completion of the first film.
