MUMBAI: The England Cricket team begins a four tests and five one- day internationals series against South Africa. The tour kick starts with two International Twenty20 matches, warming up to the one -day games. This promises to be a closely fought series, and all the action can be seen live on Ten Sports. (Please check schedule)

Interestingly, the England squad has two South African born players in their side. One has already made a name for himself in the team and is now a crucial member - Kevin Pietersen. The other player, Jonathan Trott will be on his first tour back to the land of his birth. Five years ago Pietersen did not receive a warm welcome, but Jacques Kallis is of the opinion that Trott will not face a hostile reception, for his character is very different to Pietersens? overall outspoken demeanor. A lot has been made of Trotts? homecoming series, but what both sides will be looking for is supremacy and meeting the demands on a given day, be it T20, one-day or Test cricket.

For the visitors, a lot will be riding on arguably the most charismatic player in their side, Pietersen. He will make a return to international cricket after what has been the longest lay off in his playing career. The English Cricket board however have continually expressed the fact that they are not dependent on any one player. With Andrew Strauss at the helm of things and the ever silent but strong Andy Flower as cricket director, the England outfit seem prepared for the cricketing battles ahead.
