T-Series invests Rs 250 mn in mobile biz

NEW DELHI: Supercassettes, which has already gone into films after starting their business in music, has now launched 12 models of mobile handsets from a subsidiary that has an initial budget of Rs 250 million.

T-Series Managing Director Bhushan Kumar said that the Dual SIM GSM models start at just Rs 1700 onwards to the customer.
 
The aim, he said, was to tap the rural market where there was real potential for furthering India’s mobile revolution.

All models are sleek and stylish with the latest features like Dual SIM, Social Networking, Powerful Battery Back Up, FM, Blue Tooth, Digital Camera, T Flash Card Reader, Torch besides others, the copmpany said.
 
All the handsets are available with one-year warranty. Service back-up will be available across India in all the major towns and cities with over 250 cities already covered, Kumar added.
