Mobango launches games, application to celebrate Diwali

MUMBAI: Mobango, which offers mobile applications and is a subsidiary of Mauj Mobile, has launched an application called Diwali SMS Greetings and two games - Sweet Encounter and Phataka for Diwali.

The Diwali SMS Greeting allows users to send diwali greetings through SMS to ones friends and contacts that are on the phone address book.

Mobile gaming enthusiasts also have reasons to cheer this festive season with Sweet Encounter, a puzzle game, supported by a Java operating system where user collects Diwali sweets before time runs out.

Phataka, meanwhile, is a fireworks based game supported by Java operating system. Users select one character out of the three and fire rocket at proper angle and speed to light the cracker on the other side to light up the sky with fireworks.

Mauj Mobile COO Badri Sanjeevi said, “Games and applications based on festive season are the trends all around the globe. India being an important market for us we plan to introduce content and applications that are localized and contextualized for the Indian users.”

All downloads on Mobango are free for its end consumers. Mobango claims to have served over 750 million downloads and currently generates in excess of 300 million downloads per annum to their customers.
