Bangalore to host international film fest in December

MUMBAI: For the first time, the Karnataka government has decided to organise an international film festival in Bangalore in December next.

The state chief minister B S Yeddyurappa had earmarked Rs 50 million for the festival while Rs 15 million has been released for preparatory works.

Film Academy Chairman and noted director T S Nagabharana has been named the director of the festival. Well-known film director Girish Kasaravalli will serve as the advisor for the organising committee.

Meanwhile, the state chief minister is all set to make his debut in films with director Vijesh Mani‘s Bhooloka Rakshaka. The film has many reasons to enter the Guinness book of world records. Being a multilingual film, it will be dubbed in 33 important languages of the world.
