Motwane making a remake of Kaadhal

MUMBAI: Vikramaditya Motwane, who made an impressive debut with UTV‘s Udaan last year, is set to remake Balaji Sakthivel‘s Kaadhal (Love) in Hindi soon.

The film, yet untitled, will be jointly produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and film maker Padam Kumar‘s wife Meenu. The director is currently busy finalising the cast and crew for the film.

The film narrates the story of a mechanic whose life takes a drastic change after falling in love with a rich school girl.

Kaadhal, starring Bharath and Sandhya in lead roles, was inspired from a true story that happened in Madurai.

The film is likely to go on the floors this July.

It may be interesting to note that when Kaadhal was remade in Bengali into Chirodini... Tumi Je Amar by Raj Chakrabarty, the film turned out to be a huge hit.
