MUMBAI: Recently Yash Raj Films (YRF) caused a euphoria when it announced a film, Ek Tha Tiger, with Salman Khan in the lead.
It has now been disclosed that Salman Khan will play an undercover agent for India‘s external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). Khan is supposed to be a RAW agent who is taught to blend with the mainstream, to not stand out in a crowd and to be as non-descript as possible.
For this director Kabir Khan has done extensive research and is looking to give an entirely new dimension to Khan‘s personality. Though Khan is a documentary maker, he has decided not to forget his origins even while making a feature film. “My roots are in documentary filmmaking. And even if I make feature films, I can‘t stray too far away from my origins," he says.
Meanwhile, the production house has confirmed that the film would be shot in five countries across the globe of which three have been confirmed. They are Chile in South America, Dublin in Ireland and Istanbul.
Ek Tha Tiger, being touted as YRF’s biggest-budget films in recent times, will go on the floors in July and has been scheduled for an early summer release.
