Force nets Rs 159 mn at box office

Force

MUMBAI: Of the five releases last Friday, action oriented Force is the only one to stand its ground at the box office. However, coming as it does after a number of south action remakes, the film‘s weekend has posted average collections with Rs 159 million.

Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster enjoyed good reviews but this did not reflect on its collections.

Chargesheet, Hum Tum Shabana and Tere Mere Phere had poor collections.

Mausam, which took a weekend of Rs 221 million, dropped drastically thereafter to finish the week with Rs 273 million, with almost Rs 200 million coming from Bombay circuit and North.

Speedy Singhs netted Rs 36 million in its first week

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan added Rs 33 million in its third week to take its total to Rs 579 million.

Bodyguard totaled Rs 1.47 billion, with the fourth week contributing just Rs 18 million.
