MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, the show on SAB TV, has been portraying the beauty and richness of Indian society and the strength of its togetherness very beautifully on screen.

But recently there was a moment of contrast on the sets of the show which has become India‘s most loved family comedy show ever.

Replacing the usual bursts of laughter was deep silence and candles of condolence. It was a moment of solidarity with the nation as the entire cast came together to pay homage to those who had lost their lives in the terrorist attack of 26/11.

We talked to Dilip Joshi who plays Jetha lal and he said - "It has been a year since the terror attacks struck Mumbai but the wounds of those who lost their dear ones are still fresh. Though we have been bringing smiles to the audience through our show, we are taking a moment on this day to be a part of the loss of the families of the victims"

Disha, who plays Daya, said "We are one with the nation in expressing our grief. But looking through the Ooltah Chashmah (which is the spirit of viewing problems with a positive and different perspective), we must find courage in our pain and try to make this world a better to place to be in, in our own small ways."
