Eros plans to create download service

MUMBAI: Eros International is in plans to develop and create a download service that would offer a combination of free and paid-for films. This was disclosed by Eros Innternational CEO Kishore Lulla.

It is believed that the popularity of Eros‘s YouTube site, which receives 2.5 million to 3 million views a day, prompted the idea of the download site.

Eros expects to charge a monthly fee to premium subscribers who want to access thousands of Bollywood films in a number of dialects and dubbed in numerous languages. It was also working closer with Hollywood in this matter. “A number of collaborations with Hollywood actors will be expected soon,” said Lulla.

Eros already has large fan bases in the UK, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, China and Malaysia.
