MUMBAI: Hathway Cable & Datacom has posted a standalone net profit of Rs 40.39 million for the second quarter of this fiscal.

The multi-system operator (MSO) had posted a net loss of Rs 139.28 million in the trailing quarter.
  
Hathway‘s total income stood at Rs 1.3 billion, a 30.16 per cent jump over the sequential quarter.

Total expense rose to Rs 943.45 million, (from Rs 856.96 million in first quarter).

The payout to pay channels during the three-month period ended 30 September stood at Rs 280.33 million, slightly higher than previous quarter (Rs 279.14 million).

Profit from operations (before other income, interest, depreciation and exceptional items) was at Rs 355.86 million. 
 
On a consolidated basis, Hathway Cable & Datacom posted a revenue of Rs 2.26 billion. Ebitda stood at Rs 502.29 million for the quarter under review and profit before tax at Rs 117.64 million.
The MSO disclosed that out of Rs 4.8 billion IPO money, it has utilised Rs 1.92 billion as on 30 September 2010.
