Iranian DTH broadcaster selects Europe Media Port

MUMBAI: Kahkeshan Digisat, an emerging DTH broadcaster for Iran and Iranians living in Europe and the Middle East, has selected Europe Media Port (EMP) for the provision of DTH uplink teleport and transmission services to its European and Middle East targeted markets.

The new channel is now available on Hotbird satellite at 13° East and on Hellas Sat satellite at 39° East via the Middle East beam.

EMP is providing, via the Nemea teleport based in Greece, solutions to the broadcasting industry including playout services, uplink, turnaround and occasional use services. EMP is partnering directly with satellite operators and teleport facilities around the world to provide diverse and end-to-end solutions in accordance with broadcasters’ needs.

Kahkeshan Digisat TV channel is a brand new satellite channel whose aim is to inform and entertain Iranian and other Persian-speaking viewers scattered across Europe and the Middle East with a wide variety of programmes running 24-hours and dealing with issues related to social life in Iran as well as in the world at large. Its offerings include documentaries, interviews, concerts, theatre, cinema and literature among others.

“We are delighted to offer a customized DTH solution to the new channel Kahkeshan Digisat, broadcasting directly throughout its target regions and reaching a very wide audience on satellite. EMP is fulfilling the high quality, diverse needs of Kahkeshan Digisat with a world class competitive offering and we are looking forward to continue supporting their expansion needs,” commented EMP sales and marketing head Dimitrios Papaharalabos.
“Kahkeshan TV is constantly looking for the best technological tools to provide high quality TV programmes. That is why we decided to collaborate with EMP,” commented Kahkeshan Digisat managing director Jean Marc Sermier.
