MUMBAI: Goldmines Media Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the company had acquired en bloc electronic rights including video rights, satellite rights, cable rights, overseas rights, shipborne, airborne and internet rights for nine Hindi films for 15 years at a cost of Rs 13 million.
The company's business model involves selling each of these rights to various entities for a period of up to five years.
The nine movies part of the deal are: Jawani Zindabad (Aamir Khan, Farah), 100 Days (Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit), Yugpurush (Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar), Betaaj Badshah, Police Public, Mafia, Dacait, Arjun Devaa and Gautam Govinda.
Further the company has informed that it have now finalised the sale of the satellite rights of the above nine films for Rs 14 million and Doordarshan rights for another Rs 4 million. The video and cable rights sales are being sold at Rs. 5 million and overseas rights and other rights at Rs. 2 million.
After five years the company will again regain the electronic rights of these nine films for the balance 10 years.
