MDI India offers analog STBs at Rs 2500

MUMBAI: MDI India, one of the Bangalore-based Arcom group of companies, has announced that it is geared up to meet the deadline of 14 July 2003 for the implemention of the conditional access system.
The company claims that it is prepared to meet the time requirement with affordable set-top boxes which are 100 per cent manufactured in India.
MDI claims to have an annual capacity of several million BIS compliant analog set top boxes (STBs) with volume shipments available well before the July 14 deadline (for orders placed immediately). MDI has also offered a discounted box price of Rs 2500 based on large volumes.
MDI recently presented the case for analog boxes in India during the SCaT CAS seminar at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai attended by 250 CATV operators.
MDI can be contacted at marketing@mildig.com or sales@arcomlabs.com."
