MUMBAI: Safina Uberoi, in her autobiographical documentary this week takes you through the life of Patricia, her Australian mother who married a Sikh and moved to India.

The documentary traces the life of Patricia who had to adjust to a completely new culture and family. Despite being forced into a series of painful confrontations, she also brought up her three children in India along with her husband and survived the anti-Sikh riots of 1984.

The film makes you understand the complexities of Patricia?s journey from the wide horizons of ?the lucky country? into the dark heart of Indian domesticity. Catch the surviving story of Patricia on ?My Mother India? this Saturday, January 2, 2009 at 10:00pm with a repeat telecast on the following Sunday at 5:00pm only on NDTV Profit.
