  • STAR Movies presents Movie of the Month ? VALKYRIE

    MUMBAI: Coming Saturday, STAR Movies takes you to Nazi Germany where colonels from Hitler?s closest circles are conspiring to assassinate him! Presenting the Tom Cruise starrer blockbuster VALKYRIE; 28th November, 9pm, only on STAR Movies!

    VALKYRIE is based on a true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise), a World War II German colonel. Von Stauffenberg is a disaffected officer who is questioning Hitler‘s regime and that he was leading Germany to the path of destruction. During a British air raid he is injured badly, loosing an eye, his right hand and two fingers on his left hand. He can no longer serve on the front line. In 1943 General Henning von Tresckow (Kenneth Branagh) fails in his attempt to assassin Hitler and the German Resistance loss an army officer to help with operations. Von Stauffenberg is recruited in the resistance and the General Staff.

    Disillusioned by the path Germany has taken, Stauffenberg and his fellow officers come up with the Valkyrie plan to make the assassination of Hitler look like an SS plot and get the army to launch a coup to ‘protect‘ the Nazi regime. They risk their lives ? and the lives of their families ? as they hatch a plot to kill their leader, overthrow the government and neutralize Hilter?s elite SS force.

    Promising a larger than life insight into Nazi-Germany, VALKYRIE promises to be THE movie to watch over the coming weekend!

Adopted from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them and vanishes. Now he waits, preparing to execute his revenge.

    The duo reviews the DVD movie of the week ?The Last House on the Left?. Directed by Denis Lliadis, starring Tony Goldwyn, Monica Potter, Garret Dillahunt and Aaron Paul, the story is of a gory nature. After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home which belongs to the parents of one of the victims - a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics.

    ?Tansformers 2 ? Rise of the Fallen? directed by Michael Bay, starring Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson . The series continue with deception forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime, who forms an alliance with international armies for a second epic battle.
